Aimée Farell Courtney 

​

Aimée holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Dublin Conservatory of Music, specializing in traditional Irish music. She has also been awarded the Leo Rowsome Gold Medal, and the Michael MacNamara Medal for outstanding performance in the redevelopment of traditional Irish music. She has toured in Europe and USA, and her work is very much in demand in Ireland, for both contemporary and classical music.

 

Aimée has sung with Orchestra RTE and is part of the new National Folk Orchestra of Ireland. Her a deep knowledge of percussion instruments allows her to teach master courses in Ireland, Europe and USA. In 2012, she developed a practical program of music education aimed at children from the primary cycle. She is an active guest lecturer at Champlain College Dublin and Norwich University (British Sea).
