Sapantana din Romania

S-a infiintat in anul 1998 la initiativa familiei Irina si Ioan Todiut Pop avand ca scop principal acela de a pastra si a duce mai departe traditia, folclorul si obiceiurile locului. Este format din copii si tineri cu varste cuprinse intre 7 si 25 de ani. Ansamblul „Sapantana” duce mai departe cantecele, jocurile si obiceiurile locului, autentice si nealterate si a avut ca membri, de-a lungul timpului, peste trei sute de copii si tineri. Acestia au participat la numeroase concursuri si festivaluri, obtinand foarte multe diplome si premii pentru interpretare si de asemenea pentru autenticitate. Acompaniamentul lor muzical este format din cele trei instrumente traditionale specifice zonei maramuresene: cetera, zongora si toba. Ansamblul „Sapantana” este coordonat de Irina Pop – directorul Caminului Cultural si il are ca instructor onorific pe Ioan Todiut Pop.

The Sapantana ensemble was formed in 1998 at the inititive if Irina and Ioan Todiut Pop. Their objective was to keep and transmit the folkloric musical themes and villageţs traditions. Its members are children and zoung people between ages of 7 and 25. The Săpânţana enesmble keeps transmitting to the new generation the authentic and unaltered songs, games and habits of the area. More than 300 children and young people were at some point of their lives poart of the ensemble. Thez participated at numerous contests and festivals, being awarded diplomas adnd priyes for the authenticitz of their interpretation. They are accompanied by three musicians playing the three traditionals instruments from the Maramures area: tchetera, zongora and a drum. The Săpânţana ensemble is coordinated by Irina Pop – Director of the local Cultural Centerm while its honorific director is Ioan Todirut Pop.
